I was at a meeting on Monday with Patrick Dougher and a host of others, and I met several interesting people. Margaret Lake, Tim Kormos, Steve Black and Chey Hill just to name a few. In conversation I found out that most people are looking for a mate and do not have a clue on what they really want in a mate. Well my special guest for today is a connector for those looking for a safe way to meet someone special. Her name is Margaret Lake and she is awesome with a camera! She also has an eye for relaitonships. Margaret Lake of Margaret Lake Photography is an award-winning wedding photographer. She earned her degree in Journalism with a specialty in Photojournalism at the University of Texas at Austin. During her studies she had a photojournalism internship in Johannesburg, South Africa, where among her many adventures there she was able to meet & photographer then Pres. Nelson Mandela. Since then she has travelled around the world & all over the USA pursuing her passion for photography. She loves working with people from all walks of life & her camera allows her intimate access into people's lives. As a Christian she strives to use her talents for God's purpose in her life. Margaret has been married for 11 years this Valentine's Day & she & her husband are raising his son, who is now awaiting bootcamp into the Navy. In 2008 she & her two business partners opened Eastside Story Bridal in Plano, TX, out of a restored Victorian house built in 1890. There they run a one-stop shop for wedding & events. Margaret is using the house to start her newly formed singles group, Mixed & Mingled. She's an entrepreneur, loves setting people up, & is planting the seed for future clients when they may need a wedding photographer! People describe Margaret's personality as fun, funny, & devoted. Freely following the wind and her own passions, Janet has been freelance photographer, business owner, jewelry maker, pilot, hiker, sailer, pet sitter, and skydiver. Making her first tandem jump in 1984 after completing a photojournalism gig on skydiving, Janet has now made over 4,500 jumps. She and her husband Fred, who is also a seasoned skydiver, got married in 1995, and while they had a perfectly normal chapel wedding, immediately afterwards the couple and 50 of their closest friends, skydived into the wedding reception. Janet is part of a competitive 8-way skydiving team called "Vertical Disparity."
